Topics can include: - Musical Interpretation (Rhythms, Solo instruments, Orchestral sections) - Dance Skills (refine Technique, Transitions and Presentation) - Dance Props (Isis Wings, Veil, Cane, Sword and Sagat) - Choreography and Performance skills Kathryn will analyse the dancers' individual style, moves and presentation skills, which will increase their knowledge and understanding of how their body executes bellydance moves, what it feels like and what moves suit their body shape. For more information please contact Kathryn on: 07910 320974 Online video clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcY7vPGV99o Biography Kathryn is furthering her dance knowledge and skills by attending the Advanced Dancer's Certified Course which is run by Drumzy School of Egyptian Dance - Master tutors Hossam and Serena Ramzy. Kathryn has always loved dancing and studied various styles from an early age, dance styles include; Ballet, Hip Hop, Salsa, Flamenco. Kathryn finally settled on Middle Eastern Dance in 2000. Kathryn regularly visits Cairo to receive tuition from master teachers, choreographers and performers. Kathryn's speciality is Egyptian Baladi, Modern Egyptian and dancing with the veil. Kathryn also focuses on Classical Egyptian, Saiidi and fusion belly dance. In addition to her weekly classes, Kathryn teaches workshops and can provide private tuition sessions tailored to the individual dancers needs. Kathryn is one of the founding members of Belly Dance Venture (BDV) which runs regular programs of intensive sessions that focus on choreography, technique and increasing the students dance level. In 2005, Kathryn, in partnership with Helen and Nadine, established 'El Amiraat', a trio of professional bellydancers. El Amiraat recently brought Cairo to Reading, performing regularly to live Arabic music at a local restaurant in Reading. Kathryn enjoys organising, producing and promoting haflah's and professional dance shows. In 2006 Kathryn organised a few "Bellydance Parties" for students. The BD party allowed students to perform new or favourite choreographies, wear their costumes and dance the night away in a relaxed, warm and friendly environment. In March 2007 Kathryn organised "Oshaak El Neel" show which was held at the Reading Town Hall. Kathryn wanted to showcase professional dancers and teachers to the students. Kathryn wanted to open up the bellydance community to other dance forms, such as Flamenco and Bollywood. ......................................................................................................................
