* Beginner: 5 - 6pm (no experience necessary)
Learn the basic moves of bellydance and how to put them into a choreography to the famous song 'Balady Ala Accordion' by Hassan Abou El Saoud from the classic 'Shik Shak Shok album', also available individually on itunes.
* Improver: 6 - 7pm (general level)
Expand your repertoire and refine your moves, we will also learn a dynamic drum solo choreography to 'West Naima' from the famous Sabla Tolo album by Hossam Ramzy. The song is available on itunes or on the 'Sabla Tolo' Album. The album has become a classic and I recommend buying the whole thing!
* Intermediate/Advanced: 7 - 8pm (at least 2 years experience)
We will tackle some in depth interpretation and complex choreography that will test your knowledge and passion for Egyptian rhythms and melody to the max! The choreography will be to one of my favourite pieces that I have performed to many times over the last year or so, now I want to share it with you. Mahassen Essodaff by Hossam Ramzy is a modern classic, find it on itunes or on the 'Faddah' album. This course assumes that you have some knowledge of Egyptian music and rhythms.

About Helen
Helen began her dance training in ballroom and Latin at 13, she competedaround the UK for 7 years during which time she was trained by Ian Waite and Bruce Lait. After splitting from her dance partner in 2001 she decided to take a break from the mad world of ballroomdancing and take up a different form of dance. What was planned as a temporary interlude became the beginnings of what is now emerging as a career in bellydance.
Since beginning her education of Egyptian music and dance withSerena and Hossam Ramzyseveral years ago, Helen has been honored to perform with them in concerts in London and Cardiff featuring in solo and troupe pieces. The most recent being the DanceQueens of the Nile show at the Bloomsbury Theatre in 2007where she performed with the Hossam Ramzy ensemble to the beautifulpiece of music ‘Yahilw’ by Farid Al Atrash, in honor of one of the greatest dancers of all time: Samya Gamal. She is looking forward toworking on future projects with Hossam and Serena and is currently training with them atThe DrumzySchool of Dance, Rhythm &Music for Advanced and Professional Dancers.

Helen began teaching bellydance classes at the University of Reading in 2005 where she still teaches classes for all levels. Helen isenthusiastic about her teaching and is always delighted to teach anybody who wishes to learn this beautiful art form, whether they haveprevious dance experience or no dance experience at all.
